Terms of Service & Billing Disclosures

1. Flexible Access Billing: Candidate & Recruiter Frameworks

cantpath offers role-tailored platform engagement passes designed to maintain intentionality and momentum:

• Candidate Access Passes ($10 / 30 Days): Issued as single, non-recurring 30-day passes. Candidates are never locked into automated recurring subscriptions. When a pass expires, the candidate profile naturally drops out of active discovery feed circulation unless manually renewed.
• Recruiter Access Passes ($20 / 30 Days): Recruiters may choose between single 30-day one-time passes or opt into continuous monthly auto-renew billing processed through Stripe. Auto-renew subscriptions can be cancelled instantly with a single click inside account settings.
• Founding Recruiters Promotion (First 100 Corporate Work Emails): The first 100 recruiter accounts registered prior to January 31, 2027 using a verified corporate/commercial email domain automatically receive an additional 180-day (6-month) Founding Recruiter Access Pass starting February 1, 2027. Personal consumer email domains (@gmail, @yahoo, etc.) are strictly excluded from Founding Recruiter eligibility.

Universal Launch Promotion: All Candidate accounts and standard Recruiter accounts registered before January 31, 2027, automatically receive full platform access free of charge through January 31, 2027. Standard pass rules apply at the conclusion of the promotional trial window.

2. Matching Loops & 72-Hour Expirations

To eliminate conversation stagnation, cantpath enforces temporal momentum loops. When a match request or signal is initialized, the recipient has an active 72-hour pipeline window to advance the conversation. If no interaction occurs within 72 hours, the match thread automatically terminates and purges to keep workspace queues active.

3. The 5-Slot Active Match Limit Framework

To maintain premium intentionality and prevent candidate ghosting or corporate spam, all users are bound by a maximum threshold of 5 concurrent active matches. If your active inbox contains 5 open, ongoing, or unresolved conversations, the discover deck will pause, and you will be barred from swiping or receiving new matches until an existing thread is explicitly advanced, closed, hired, or dropped.

4. Stripe Identity Verification & Non-Refundability

To eliminate automated spam, bots, and fraudulent profiles, candidate validation is processed server-side via Stripe Identity integrations. The one-time $5.00 fee covers Stripe's underlying biometric/document matching data costs and processing margins. Once an identity check is initiated, this fee is fully non-refundable as verification processing resources are immediately consumed by verification engine protocols.

5. Zero Data Monetization, Biometric Consent & Privacy Guarantee

By clicking "Verify My ID", you expressly consent to Stripe processing your government-issued identification documentation and biometric facial liveness scans in accordance with Stripe's Privacy Policy. cantpath does not collect, save, store, sell, broker, lease, or trade candidate or recruiter emails, phone numbers, payment card numbers, or profile information to third-party data aggregators, advertisers, or lead brokers. Credit card numbers and payment data are handled entirely by Stripe's encrypted payment processing engine and are never stored on cantpath servers.

6. Account Expiration & Data Purging

Upon the conclusion of your active platform pass or profile activity lifecycle, search visibility options are paused. If an unverified account remains inactive with no engagement for more than 90 consecutive days, historical profiles and placeholder parameters may be safely purged from our production indices.

8. SMS & Text Messaging Notifications (Twilio Terms)

cantpath offers real-time SMS notifications via Twilio to facilitate instant communication between recruiters and candidates once an active connection or match is established:

• Opt-In Consent: To receive automated SMS text alerts regarding candidate interest signals or pipeline chat messages, you must explicitly opt in by checking the consent agreement box during phone verification or replying YES to the initial confirmation text message.
• Opt-Out Protocol: You may opt out of SMS notifications at any time after opting in by replying STOP to any message received, or by toggling off SMS notifications inside your account settings dashboard. Reply HELP for assistance.
• Automatic Message Termination: SMS text notification services for an active match will automatically cease and terminate immediately when the connection between the recruiter and candidate terminates, expires, or is explicitly closed by either party.
• Rates & Frequency: Message frequency varies based on platform match activity and chat volume. Standard carrier message and data rates may apply.

9. Limitation of Liability & Directory Search Disclaimer

cantpath operates strictly as an informational search directory and prompt-matching venue. We do not act as an employment agency, recruiter of record, or staffing firm. cantpath makes zero guarantees regarding candidate employment, interview outcomes, response rates, candidate or employer availability, or the accuracy of user-submitted profile responses and external links. Under no circumstances shall cantpath, its operators, or affiliates be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from platform interactions, hiring decisions, or candidate engagements.

10. Strict Match Timers & System Action Disclaimer

Platform match timers (including 72-hour window auto-expirations), pipeline slot purges, passed candidate pool resets, and off-ramp clipboard copy interactions are automated and absolute. cantpath assumes no liability for missed connection opportunities, expired match threads, or uncopied contact data resulting from user clearance actions, account inactivity, or automated pipeline resets.
